Founder & Managing Partner
Gorav Khanna

Gorav founded Columbia Heights Partners and Veda Global with a focus on concentrated, conviction-driven investing in quality growth businesses. His investment philosophy emphasizes deep fundamental research, long-term thinking, and full alignment of interests with limited partners.

Prior to founding CHP, Gorav served as CIO at the family office of Bennett S. LeBow, a New York-based private equity and activist investor, where he managed multi-billion dollar fundamental value-oriented investments across private and public equity and debt securities.

Gorav holds a BSE in Economics from The Wharton School, Magna Cum Laude, and a BAS in Systems Science and Engineering from Penn Engineering — both through the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology. He studied abroad at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and attended the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics.

Investment Philosophy
The 50/50/50 Framework

We screen for businesses delivering returns on equity exceeding 50%, operating margins above 50%, and long growth runways. We then wait patiently for valuation to create a margin of safety. Quality compounds; we let it.

Positive cash flow proves business model viability. High ROE demonstrates capital efficiency and management’s ability to generate superior returns. Pricing power reflects genuine competitive moats and sustainable profitability.

We avoid sub-50% margin and low-ROE businesses entirely. Only roughly 1% of businesses globally meet our standards. We concentrate in those businesses and hold with conviction through full market cycles.

Our LP Base

Columbia Heights works with a limited number of qualified investors seeking exceptional long-term returns.

We invest our own capital alongside every LP in every fund. Existing LPs include a select group of institutional and family office investors.

We manage a limited number of LP relationships and remain deliberately small to preserve our ability to compound at the highest rates. Annual letters are distributed via Substack; fact sheets and decks are available on request.
